In this year's September edition of the list, Button did not have Tij Iginla in the top 32. By December, Button ranked the forward 22nd.
He surged into the top five in May at 4th overall and now finds himself in Button's final ranking at 3rd place, behind Macklin Celebrini from Boston University and Ivan Demidov of SKA.
Button was part of the Dallas Stars who drafted Tij's father, Jarome, 11th overall in 1995. While Button thought Jarome was a very good player when the Stars drafted him, he did not foresee him becoming a future Hall of Famer.
"I have this nagging feeling that I am still underrating Tij Iginla," said Button. "I go back, and I look at my notes on Jarome. They are different kinds of players. I don't want to say it's the same thing, but [they have] the same kind of things - massive efficiency, massive substance, [the ability to] move things."
