Alex Ovechkin, of the Washington Capitals, is considering finishing his career with Dynamo Moscow in Russia, confirming his intention to leave the NHL one day.

Currently, he aims to surpass Wayne Gretzky to become the all-time leading goal scorer in the league.
Despite his success, Ovechkin wants to continue his journey in his homeland, where he played before being recruited by the Caps. Vladimir Fedosov, former coach of Dynamo Moscow, emphasized this decision.
"He himself said he would finish his career with Dynamo... the white-and-blue fans can sleep easy. If Alexander's health is good, he can play until the age of 45," Fedosov stated.

Ovechkin, 38, remains under contract with the Capitals for a few more seasons. However, once his NHL career is over, he will return to Dynamo to finish his career, reassuring his Russian fans of his commitment to his original club.
