The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has clearly expressed his intention to seek forwards during the summer season to bolster the offense for the upcoming season.
His strategy appears to be focused on acquiring talented young players who have not yet fully blossomed in the NHL and who could benefit from a change of environment to reignite their careers, following the previous successes with Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook.
Analyst Simon "Le Snake" Boisvert has suggested two potential targets for the Canadiens: Peyton Krebs of the Buffalo Sabres and Alex Turcotte of the Los Angeles Kings. These two players, first-round picks, could be acquired at an affordable price according to Boisvert.
At 23 years old, Krebs is a center with offensive skills, while Turcotte, also 23, is a promising player whose progress has been hindered by injuries.
