The Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Senators completed a trade on Monday. The Ottawa Senators added a 6th-round pick in the 2026 draft to their assets. In return, the Avalanche acquired goalie Kevin Mandolese and a 7th-round pick in the 2026 draft. Kevin Mandolese, a 23-year-old Quebec native from Blainville, was drafted by the Senators in the sixth round in 2018. After playing junior hockey with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the QMJHL, he had a brief NHL stint with only 3 games played. Since 2020, Mandolese has primarily played in the AHL and ECHL with the Belleville Senators, Atlanta Gladiators, and Allen Americans.
