Tomorrow Night's Starting Goalie Has Officially Been Revealed
In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have officially confirmed that Quebec goaltender, Samuel Montembeault, will get the start against the New York Rangers tomorrow night.
This is certainly excellent news for Martin St-Louis's men, especially since number 35 had been benched for the last two games.
He will try to help the Canadiens achieve a second consecutive victory, a feat that has not occurred for nearly a month for the team.
Despite this challenging period for the Montreal organization, Samuel Montembeault continues to prove that he fully deserves the number one spot, miraculously managing to keep his team in the game night after night.
Certainly, Monty's progress this season is simply impressive. Despite playing behind a team decimated by injuries, the 27-year-old goaltender still has a positive record with a total of 12 wins, 8 losses, and 4 overtime losses.
Moreover, he has maintained a goals-against average of 3.06 and a save percentage of .908, ranking him among the best goaltenders in the NHL at five-on-five.
