The Montreal Canadiens could choose the biggest risk of the draft
The Montreal Canadiens will once again make use of the 5th pick to step onto the draft stage for their first selection. They could still surprise.
Last year, experts, and especially fans, were somewhat surprised by the selection of David Reinbacher.
This year, all options seem possible for the Tricolore. There is much talk about forwards Lindstrom, Demidov, Iginla, Catton, as well as a few defensemen.
In the Process podcast from the Athletic Commission of BPM Sports, Simon "Snake" Boisvert and Mathias Brunet discuss the prospect hardest to evaluate for the upcoming draft and moreover, considered the highest risk in the top 10 by several.
Defenseman Zayne Parekh. His offensive potential is intriguing, but he represents a significant risk with a high ceiling, as well as the possibility of hitting a wall once in the NHL.
Snake still sees him alongside David Reinbacher, should this scenario materialize.
