Journalist Arpon Basu reported a notable absence within the Montreal Canadiens in Buffalo in recent days.

It was surprising because there was no official announcement, but several media outlets were surprised to learn that it was over for Adam Douglas in Montreal.
"A noticed personnel change at the Combine.

Very quietly, without any announcement, the Canadiens recently parted ways with their Director of Sports Science and Performance, Adam Douglas.

Douglas played a significant role at the Combine, analyzing all the data from the prospects' physical tests, but this role was filled this season by Dale Lablans, the Canadiens' Strength and Conditioning Coach. (He was assisted by Stéphane Gervais, from the Laval Rocket)."

It would have been beneficial to have Douglas with the Canadiens for an additional month, especially given the recent successes in the drafts, but this remains to be seen.
