A promising forward, Xavier Filion, has left the Montreal Canadiens organization to join the Jonquière Marquis.
Filion, who previously played with the Trois-Rivières Lions and was considered a prospect for the Laval Rocket, signed with the Marquis after being selected in the first round of the recent LNAH draft, fifth overall.
At 21 years old, he stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 173 pounds. Last season, he recorded 41 points in 48 games with the Rimouski Océanic in the QMJHL, and 33 points in 66 games with the Quebec Remparts in 2022.
Although we would have liked to see him develop within the Canadiens organization, we wish him much success in Jonquière, where he is eagerly anticipated.
