A key forward for the Montreal Canadiens organization and captain of the Trois-Rivières Lions, Cedric Montminy, has announced his retirement.
His departure marks the end of an era for the Lions, who will now have to find a new captain. Montminy, the first captain of the Lions since their inception in 2021-2022, has been an influential leader.
In 205 games with the Lions, he accumulated 64 goals and 64 assists, totaling 128 points, and scored his 100th professional goal last season.
