A key forward for the Montreal Canadiens organization and captain of the Trois-Rivières Lions, Cedric Montminy, has announced his retirement.

His departure marks the end of an era for the Lions, who will now have to find a new captain. Montminy, the first captain of the Lions since their inception in 2021-2022, has been an influential leader.
In 205 games with the Lions, he accumulated 64 goals and 64 assists, totaling 128 points, and scored his 100th professional goal last season.
In his farewell message, Montminy thanked the fans of Mauricie for their support.
The Lions organization also expressed their gratitude towards him, highlighting his profound impact and dedication.
We wish him an excellent retirement and much success in his future endeavors.
