Rafaël Harvey-Pinard's injury opens the door for either a Montreal Canadiens prospect or the newcomer, Alex Barré-Boulet.
Although Barré-Boulet has never managed to establish himself as a regular NHL player, he has excelled in the AHL with 302 points in 294 games.
Philippe Boucher, during the Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro, believes Barré-Boulet could fill the void left by Harvey-Pinard. Boucher, who knows Barré-Boulet well from his time coaching the Remparts in the QMJHL, thinks the player has the talent to fit into the lineup and even suggests he might play in the Canadiens' top 6, though this seems less likely.
Boucher also recommends using Barré-Boulet on the second power-play unit to boost the offense. If Barré-Boulet performs well in training camp, he could quickly become a valuable asset for the team.
