NHL rumor: Is Jordan Harris on his way out of Montreal?
The NHL is constantly evolving, and a new city is entering the picture with Salt Lake City following the departure of the Arizona Coyotes.
Other teams might join the league through expansion, as Commissioner Gary Bettman has hinted repeatedly in recent months. Houston and Atlanta are frequently mentioned in these discussions.
Sportsnet took a look at the players available across the NHL in the event of new expansions. For the Montreal Canadiens, Jordan Harris could be on his way out and picked up by a new team.
Harris has struggled to establish himself on the Canadiens' defensive lineup. Young players like Lane Hutson, David Reinbacher, and Logan Mailloux are expected to secure regular spots on the blue line sooner rather than later.
Jordan Harris and Justin Barron are clearly at risk regarding their positions. If a new expansion is announced soon in the NHL, the Canadiens might not have to trade Harris but could simply lose him in the expansion draft.
This situation is still in its early stages, but it makes a lot of sense when you think about it...
