Major change for Florian and Arber Xhekaj that will have an impact on the CH
Arber and Florian Xhekaj are proud to be part of the Montreal Canadiens organization. Their goal is to play together in the NHL with this iconic team.
The older brother, nicknamed the Sheriff, must negotiate a new contract with the Montreal Canadiens. The defenseman is a restricted free agent and his name has already surfaced in trade rumors.
Xhekaj has also been troubled by two shoulder injuries since joining the Canadiens. Florian, drafted in the 4th round in 2023, made his debut with the Rocket late last season.
The two brothers have recently made a significant change regarding their representation in the NHL.
The day before becoming a free agent, Arber Xhekaj and his brother decided to change agents.
Both Canadiens will now be represented by Scott and Brian Bartlett of "Bartlett Hockey."
It will be interesting to see the negotiations surrounding Arber Xhekaj's contract. With several defensemen pushing through the organization, it remains to be seen if the Canadiens are willing to commit long-term to the imposing defenseman who is beloved by the fans.
