In the latest news, the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, has confirmed excellent news for the team's fans.

Indeed, the Canadiens' prospect, Lane Hutson, will officially play his first game in the Bettman league tonight against the Detroit Red Wings. Notably, he will wear number 48 and play on the second defensive pair alongside Quebecer David Savard.
What wonderful news!
This is an excellent decision by the head coach as Lane Hutson will have the opportunity to play alongside a veteran who excels in defensive territory. This will allow him to showcase the full extent of his offensive skills and demonstrate why the organization selected him in the second round of last year's draft.
During his press conference this morning, the young defenseman mentioned that he was very happy to have the chance to play in front of his relatives, as he is a native of Michigan. He admitted that about 15 to 20 people will be present at Little Caesars Arena to watch his first steps in the NHL.

Furthermore, Lane Hutson has not wasted any time in impressing his new teammates and the coaching staff during this morning's practice session. When asked about his new player, Martin St-Louis was very complimentary of number 48, noting that he has skills that are truly out of the ordinary.
"He's a guy who has a lot of speed, who can deceive his opponents with his feet and hands, and obviously a lot of skill. We will give him a few games to get his bearings and see how we do things here... it's a good opportunity for him." - Martin St-Louis

It's likely that many fans will be very excited to see him in action tonight, as he possesses spectacular skills. We also hope that we will have the opportunity to see him play alongside Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, Cole Caufield, and Alex Newhook on the first power play wave.
Certainly, his presence with the Canadiens has already been noticed, having impressed his teammates during his first practice with the team this morning.
