Key piece of the Canadiens organization on the verge of leaving?
According to what's circulating within the Montreal Canadiens organization, it seems that a firing might be a possibility that cannot be ruled out for a coach in the organization.
At least, that's what our colleagues from DLC have suggested regarding the rather uncertain future surrounding the return behind the bench of head coach Jean-François Houle with the Laval Rocket.
Initially, it was Anthony Marcotte, the play-by-play announcer for the Rocket, who raised some doubts on BPM Sports after discussing with John Sedgwick, the AHL team's GM.
«I asked John Sedgwick, the new general manager of the Rocket, what the future holds for Jean-François Houle. He refused to elaborate further, except to mention that it would be reevaluated at the end of the season.» – Anthony Marcotte
It must be noted that he and his coaching staff do not have contracts for the next season. Moreover, Houle and his colleagues are also part of the Canadiens' old guard, meaning they were not chosen by Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
