Unlike last season with Matvei Michkov, an important announcement has been made for the Montreal Canadiens: Ivan Demidov will meet with the team's management in Florida just before the 2024 NHL draft.

This meeting firmly places Demidov in the race for the fifth overall pick, alongside Cayden Lindstrom and Tij Iginla.
Unlike Michkov, Demidov's situation is much clearer and more reassuring, as he is already in North America and training in Florida.
He aims to play in the NHL as early as 2025, which he demonstrates through his concrete actions.
The Canadiens' management will have the opportunity to discuss his injuries, goals, and playing style, and to evaluate him thoroughly.
This meeting could influence their draft decision, just as it did with Juraj Slafkovsky.
