The Ontario Reign, affiliated with the Los Angeles Kings in the American Hockey League (AHL), announced on Tuesday the signing of Shawn Element and John Parker-Jones to AHL contracts for the 2024-25 season.
Element, 24 years old, played 64 games with the Syracuse Crunch last season, tallying 18 points (9-9=18) and 100 penalty minutes. He is entering his fourth professional season, having accumulated 41 points in 144 games with the Crunch and 9 points with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.
Parker-Jones, also 24 years old, began his professional career with the Laval Rocket (AHL) and the Trois-Rivières Lions (ECHL). Standing 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds, he has played both forward and defense, amassing 26 points in 141 games during his junior career with the Peterborough Petes.
