The rumor about Patrik Laine of the Columbus Blue Jackets has been confirmed: he has requested a trade and could be moved before the next season.

Although his name is widely circulated, few concrete offers have been made.
Expert Bob Trask recently proposed a trade involving the Montreal Canadiens. According to his suggestion, Montreal would receive Patrik Laine with $2.3 million of his salary retained by Columbus.
In exchange, Columbus would get Christian Dvorak or Jake Evans, Jayden Struble or Jordan Harris, Sean Farrell, Jared Davidson or Riley Kidney, and a second-round pick in 2025.
While this proposal is costly, it could be advantageous for Montreal. Acquiring Laine at $6.5 million per year in exchange for Dvorak, Harris, Kidney, and a second-round pick does not seem like a significant risk.
This potential trade has sparked debates among fans and could strengthen the Canadiens' team.
