Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield have been the heart of the Montreal Canadiens' offense for the past three seasons. However, that could change.

The impressive emergence of Juraj Slafkovsky has led the Canadiens' management to award him an 8-year contract extension earlier this week.
Ivan Demidov was recently drafted in the first round, 5th overall, by the Canadiens and he is expected to play a key role in the team's top 6 offense sooner rather than later.
According to Simon "Snake" Boisvert, this could relegate Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield to the roles of 3rd and 4th most important forwards respectively for the Habs.
Boisvert suggests that these two Europeans will be the most crucial elements in the Canadiens' offensive engine for the next 8 to 10 years.
