The two members of the Canadiens' top line were in Quebec for an event related to the Presidents Cup golf tournament scheduled to take place in Montreal in a few weeks.
The two key young players of the Canadiens met with journalists and shared some interesting points.
According to them, the Canadiens could aim for the playoffs as soon as next season. They believe the team is maturing and think that the Canadiens should focus on making the playoffs and fighting for a spot until the end of the year.
Well, this doesn't mean much, and the opposite would be surprising, but the two forwards genuinely believe that the Canadiens have the team to make the playoffs...
"[Making the playoffs] is our goal. We all want to make the playoffs and go as far as possible to win the Cup.
Every year, you climb this mountain trying to reach the top. We've taken a big step in the right direction, and I think we'll continue to do so with our group growing older and gaining maturity."
