According to recent information from The Hockey News, the power forward is currently on the hot seat for a potential trade.

The site suggests that the days of Anderson regularly scoring 20 goals per season seem to be over, and his age makes him replaceable in a way that most young Canadiens players are not.

Moreover, it appears that his skills are not ideal for adapting to the style of play that Martin St-Louis is trying to implement, which focuses on game intelligence and collective cohesion.

However, for Kent Hughes to finalize a trade for the number 17, especially with a team that sees him as a playoff asset, he may need to retain part of his three-year contract. This would represent a significant burden on the salary cap.
