The Montreal Canadiens have stockpiled numerous draft picks since Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton took over.

While much attention has been given to prospects like Ivan Demidov, Michael Hage, David Reinbacher, and Logan Mailloux, some later-round picks could prove to be valuable finds for the Canadiens.
According to an article from DansLesCoulisses, the platform ''HockeyProspecting.com'' has given high marks to a 6th-round pick by the Canadiens in the 2023 draft.
Filip Eriksson is developing impressively in Sweden. The forward had a strong season in a Swedish professional league, and according to the site rating hockey prospects, he now has a better chance of making it to the NHL.
The Swedish player's chances have jumped from 24% at the time of his draft selection to 76% for making it to the top league in the world.
He has intriguing potential to become a solid 3rd or 4th-line player—a useful player with specific roles.
Filip Eriksson could certainly turn out to be a steal for the Canadiens' scouting team with his 6th-round selection, 165th overall, in the 2023 NHL Draft.
