In the last few minutes, the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, held a press conference ahead of tonight's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Moreover, the Tricolore's coach has finally given a final verdict regarding the young defenseman Arber Xhekaj. Indeed, although the 6 foot 4 inch and 240-pound giant was sometimes left aside during his call-up with the big club, everything indicates that his time in the stands is over.
Martin St-Louis was very complimentary towards the Sheriff, mentioning that he was one of the most consistent players in the recent games of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge. Clearly, if his place in the lineup was a source of questioning recently, this is no longer the case.
Number 72 has indeed gained the trust of his head coach, who has notably received a promotion recently by being paired with David Savard on the second defensive pair. Unless there is a major turnaround, we can forget the possibility of seeing Wifi being sidelined from the lineup by the end of the regular season.
What wonderful news!
Despite a season filled with obstacles, Arber Xhekaj has kept his head high and met the various challenges that have come his way.

Martin St-Louis makes a change to his defensive brigade

Although Xhekaj's presence in the Montreal defense is now a formality, the CH's head coach has nevertheless confirmed that he will make a change for tonight's game. Indeed, Jordan Harris will have to watch the game from the press box, as he will give his place to Johnathan Kovacevic.
"Johnathan Kovacevic will take the place of Jordan Harris in the lineup, Tuesday against Columbus." - Montreal Canadiens

It's also worth noting that Cayden Primeau will get his first start since the trade involving Jake Allen and the New Jersey Devils. Let's bet that the American goaltender will try to prove to Kent Hughes that he made the right decision by giving him a vote of confidence.
