Kent Hughes has always been very active during the draft since the beginning of his tenure as general manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
The GM has already made a trade with the Kings to move up from the 26th to the 21st pick in the first round.
According to several reports, this new first-round pick for the Canadiens could very well be moved to another team, either for a top 10 pick, according to Darren Dreger, or for a player.
The reputable TSN insider also stated that Kent Hughes is currently very active in the trade market.
"It will be interesting to see if Hughes can work more magic. He hopes to add another pick within the top 10 and is listening to interest in moving up or down slightly from the 5th pick. He is also involved in a number of player-related discussions."

It wouldn't be surprising to see the Canadiens' general manager make further moves during the day leading up to the first round of the NHL draft at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
