An interesting target becomes available for Kent Hughes and the Habs

It was announced today that versatile forward Victor Olofsson will become a free agent as of July 1st. The Buffalo Sabres will not be submitting a new contract offer to him, according to The Fourth Period.

He's an enticing target for the Canadiens given his profile. Olofsson can play both wing and center, has already had three 20-goal seasons, and should command a very reasonable salary considering what he brings to a team.

At 28 years old, he's the kind of player that would allow the Tricolore to have more talent and depth in the offensive lineup.
