Alert: signature of a forgotten hope of the QMJHL with the Habs organization
The Montreal Canadiens continues to build its organization and affiliates for the upcoming season. It has just announced the signing of a Quebecer from the QMJHL.
Israel Mianscum has reached an agreement with the Tricolore franchise for a two-year, two-way deal. He will begin his professional journey with the Laval Rocket, or with the Trois-Rivières Lions.
The Quebecer has just completed his journey in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Mianscum played five seasons with the same team and concluded his journey with two seasons of over 30 goals.
The Mistissini native also had offers from the Devils and the Rangers, but he did not hesitate to join his home province team.
It's a promising project and a player with interesting potential. However, he still has a lot of work to do to hope to one day reach the NHL.
Israel Mianscum, 21 years old, 6'2/202 pounds, has just completed his junior stage with the Phoenix. He collected 87 points in 61 games. Trois-Rivières is also an option for 2024-25. - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin on X/Twitter.
