During a charity golf tournament organized by NFL player Benjamin St-Juste, Roy reiterated his objective to secure a top-9 spot for the upcoming season.
«It's up to me to prove I'm capable. By the time I get to camp, I'll have had a great summer of training and will be ready. My goal is to earn a spot,» he said.
Playing in the top-9, «that's the goal. I'm going to do everything I can this summer to make it happen. I'm not worried; they'll make the right decision for me. But my mindset is to make my place.»
Originally from St-Georges-de-Beauce, Roy scored nine points in 23 games with the Canadiens last season, along with 32 points in 41 games in Laval.
