In the final moments of the second period, a very concerning scene involving defenseman Justin Barron occurred. The 22-year-old was hit hard by Marcus Foligno and had to immediately head to the locker room.

The hit was quite questionable, especially since number 52, Barron, was clearly in a vulnerable position before the Wild's forward initiated contact.
Here is the sequence in question:
Fortunately, the defenseman was indeed back on the ice for the start of the third period. This is excellent news for the Montreal defensive brigade, especially as Justin Barron has been experiencing his best moments of the season recently.

He had left for the locker room at the end of the 2nd to be evaluated after the hard hit from Marcus Foligno." - Patrick Friolet

Let's hope he is truly at 100%, as he is a very important element to the team's success at the moment.
