Kent Hughes, therefore, has his work cut out to reach agreements with those who have promising potential. This is particularly true for Davidson, Guindon, Tourigny, and Tuch.
Hughes' biggest challenge will be to offer them contracts while respecting the NHL's limit of 50 contracts per organization. Decisions will need to be made to make room for them, which means that others will have to leave by the next offseason.
