Numerous rumors are circulating in NHL circles regarding the next destination of Patrick Kane, who is nearing a return to play.

Various teams such as the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, and New York Rangers are reportedly interested in acquiring his services.
Pierre LeBrun recently mentioned on BPM Sports that Patrick Kane's agent, Pat Brisson, informed him Kane is currently meeting with the leadership of different teams.
LeBrun also added that a resolution in this matter could potentially occur by the end of next week, as the former Ranger might make a final decision quite soon.
Discussing Patrick Kane's future on the show "JiC," Jean-Charles Lajoie revealed his dream of seeing Kent Hughes offer Kane a multi-season deal to bring him to the Montreal Canadiens.
"Without even asking if Kane, an American native of Buffalo, would want to play in Canada, I want to dream a bit this weekend.

The Canadiens follow a clear and precise plan, that's true. But Kent Hughes has sometimes let slip in some interviews that his plan includes the idea of adding a major natural talent to his team, a star player who can 'change the game.'

Kane is a left-handed player who plays on the right wing. If I close my eyes and imagine Kane completing Nick Suzuki at center and 'Goal' Caufield on the left, I get a lot of pleasure.

I smile and dream awake of seeing the prolific Kane wearing the iconic predominantly red sweater of the Canadiens on a Saturday night at the temple..." - Jean-Charles Lajoie

Of course, even though the general manager of the Canadiens has mentioned a few times that he would like the opportunity to add a top forward to his team, it would be quite surprising to see the 34-year-old veteran arrive in Montreal.
Patrick Kane has clearly stated his desire to play for a winning team aspiring for high honors, which is not currently the case for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge. The chances of him returning home to Buffalo or joining a power of the league (Toronto, Florida, or New York) are much more likely.
In any case, this will be a situation to watch in the coming days. There's no doubt that the team adding the American forward to its lineup will gain an extremely talented player, capable of changing the outcome of a game by himself.
Since joining the NHL, Patrick Kane has amassed an impressive total of 451 goals and 786 assists (1237 points) in 1180 games, surpassing the 80-point plateau six times in his career.
