To address their offensive struggles, the Montreal Canadiens have hired shooting specialist Glen Tucker. Despite being one of the best teams in scoring from defensemen, the Canadiens rank as the fifth-worst in the league for total goals scored, highlighting the lack of offensive contribution from their forwards.

Glen Tucker is renowned for his expertise in teaching shooting techniques, focusing on developing confidence with the puck. He founded Shoot to Score in 1993 and, over the past 30 years, has developed a shooting program that emphasizes body development and technique over sheer strength to enhance a player's shooting accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Tucker has been instrumental in advancing the shooting skills of elite NHL, NCAA, OHL, and minor hockey players. He has trained players across North America and Europe.
The Canadiens' forwards, including Cole Caufield, have struggled to score directly from shots. While they can score off rebounds or set-ups, the ability to beat goalies with clean shots is lacking. The hope is that Tucker's expertise, which has notably helped NHL players like David Pastrnak, will improve this aspect of the Canadiens' game.
