Peter DeBoer, coach of the Dallas Stars, announced that Mavrik Bourque, hailing from Quebec, will replace Ty Dellandrea in the lineup for Game 6.
This will mark the promising AHL player's first appearance in the playoffs.
The Stars will be striving to stay alive against the Edmonton Oilers, who are just one win away from the Stanley Cup Finals.
Furthermore, the Oilers will have the opportunity to advance to the next round in front of their home crowd, as the game will take place at Rogers Place.
Bourque has only played one game in the NHL in his career, but he accumulated 26 goals and 51 assists for 77 points in 71 games in the AHL this season.
