The Sheriff is officially back!

During a stoppage in play, Matthew Rempe, a forward for the Hartford Wolf Pack, was constantly trying to intimidate the Laval Rocket defenders, namely Brady Keeper and Logan Mailloux. Naturally, the Canadiens prospects made the right decision by refusing to drop the gloves against this 6-foot-8-inch, 240-pound giant.
However, when Arber Xhekaj showed up, Matthew Rempe immediately left the number 72's teammates alone. Without even needing to drop the gloves, Wifi enforced the law by making his presence felt to his opponent.
« There, we recognize the real Xhekaj, the one who enforces order. » - Kevin Lefrançois

This is exactly the role he should be playing in the American League, as he seems to mainly want to focus on his defensive play and not constantly engage in fights.
We love it!
Furthermore, according to many observers, Arber Xhekaj is having an excellent game, quickly adapting to the style of play in the AHL.
« People need to give Xhekaj a chance who was rusty in his first game back from injury. Even though it's the AHL, it's a very good league. He has been playing better and better since the third period of his first game. His pass on the third goal for Laval was simply magnificent. » - Grant McCagg

There is no doubt that his first game was going to be more difficult, as he hadn't played in a while. However, it's very promising to see that he is back to his old habits.
