Patrik Laine on his way to Montreal through a trade?
Patrik Laine is a skilled goal scorer, but also an enigmatic player at times. The Blue Jackets are reportedly willing to trade him, and the Canadiens could take advantage.
The Tricolore is clearly looking to add talent to their offensive lineup. While the Finn may not always show the highest level of commitment every night, Martin St-Louis might find a way to get him to produce.
The idea of Patrik Laine joining the Canadiens stems from a podcast by Tony Marinaro, where he discussed with former Canadiens scout Grant McCagg.
According to McCagg, Laine's profile is intriguing for Kent Hughes, and his current situation may not value him as highly. While Laine has had three seasons of 30 goals or more, they date back to his time with the Jets.
He has slowed down significantly since then, being limited to 18 games last season.
Here's Grant McCagg's proposal on "The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro":
To Columbus: Jets' 2024 1st round pick + Jordan Harris
To Montreal: Patrik Laine
It makes sense for both teams. Would you do it?
