Defenseman Ryan McDonagh is traded and returns home to the Tampa Bay Lightning after spending two seasons with the Predators in Nashville.
Julien BriseBois strikes again. He manages to bring back the veteran to the Lightning's blue line. McDonagh has been an important cog in both of the Bolts' conquests and was a significant leader in the locker room.
Nashville acquires a 2nd and 7th round pick, while Tampa receives a 4th round selection in addition to Ryan McDonagh.
The former Canadiens' first-round pick has played 928 games since the start of his career and remains very solid at 34 years old.
