Trades Imminent: Four Players Officially Hit the Trade Block
More than a month into the NHL regular season, there's already significant movement among teams.
Some organizations, including the Calgary Flames, are reportedly ready to make major moves. According to insider Pierre LeBrun, four players have officially been placed on the market by the Flames.
It has been revealed that Elias Lindholm, Nikita Zadorov, Chris Tanev, and Noah Hanifin are now officially available from Calgary.
Zadorov has requested a trade from the organization, and Hanifin, set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, does not wish to renew his contract with the Flames.
A surprising development is the potential trade of Lindholm, a versatile and excellent center who scored 42 goals and made 82 points in 82 games in 2022. It's possible that contract extension negotiations are also not progressing for the 28-year-old Swedish forward.
Like Hanifin, Lindholm will be a free agent in the summer of 2024.
These developments indicate that Calgary could be quite active leading up to the trade deadline, with many moves anticipated.
