Major Bombshell: Kent Hughes Has Reportedly Turned Down a Trade Offer for a Key Habs Player
Kent Hughes is currently a very busy man, and he will be until March 8th.
With several major files to manage within his organization, such as the famous three-goalkeeper situation, as well as several of his veterans who are likely to attract attention in the coming weeks, including Sean Monahan, Tanner Pearson, and David Savard, the Canadiens will be a team to watch this year.
The fact that there hasn't been a major trade announcement yet doesn't mean that the GM of the Tricolore isn't active, quite the contrary.
According to recently reported information, Hughes has refused at least one trade offer for Jake Allen.
"Kent Hughes has reportedly turned down at least one offer from another GM for goaltender Jake Allen.
The Habs' GM has proven that he has a good understanding of the trade market. I wonder what return he is looking for."

The reporter indicates that he would have received a late draft pick in return for the veteran goaltender.
For now, although media pressure hopes that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible, Hughes remains patient and is absolutely looking to get the price he set for Allen's services.
Clearly, in light of this refusal, he hopes to get better than a sixth or seventh-round pick for his goaltender.
Do you think the Canadiens' GM is playing with fire? Would it have been better to settle this matter once and for all, even for a distant draft pick?
This issue is likely to continue to generate discussion for some time.
