As you know, the former Montreal Canadiens defenseman, P.K. Subban, was known for not mincing his words, and this has clearly not changed since he became an analyst for ESPN.

Indeed, during the first intermission of the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, the famous number 76 made completely inappropriate comments, and he might possibly be visited by ESPN executives for having made such crude remarks on television.
Alongside Hall of Famer Mark Messier and analyst Steve Levy, P.K. Subban made a live joke that shocked many fans on social media. Although the defenseman initially did not want to mention it, his colleague insisted that he tell it.
At that point, the former defenseman mentioned this:
«I'm not a carpenter, but I carry a hammer.» - PK Subban

To which Steve Levy replied:
«Yes, I've heard that was the case.» - Steve Levy

Obviously, we don't need to translate for you to understand what P.K. Subban was really alluding to with such a comment. It is hard to understand why he decided to make a "joke" like that in the middle of his segment.
Certainly, it would not be surprising if he suffered the consequences, because although such remarks can be fun among "boys," they are not things to be said on air while thousands of viewers, including children, are watching the show.
Having signed a three-year contract as an analyst for ESPN in 2022, P.K. Subban should instead continue analyzing games rather than making unacceptable comments like these. In fact, many fans have called for his departure on social media after hearing such remarks.
«Bye bye Subban!!!! I may not be a carpenter, but I carry a hammer??? Live??? Any other man would be pulled off the air. Everyone knows what he was referring to.»

At 34 years old, PK Subban played thirteen seasons in the NHL, including seven with the Montreal Canadiens. He ended his career with an impressive total of 115 goals and 352 assists (467 points) in 834 games, having notably won the Norris Trophy in 2013.
