Nikita Zadorov didn't mince words in describing the NHL's decision after the incident with Connor McDavid. He strongly criticized the league.
At the end of Game #3 of the series between the Canucks and the Oilers, the star player was targeted both from the front and from behind with a violent cross-check from Carson Soucy and Nikita Zadorov.
The former was suspended for one game while the latter received a mere fine of $5,000.
Zadorov didn't stop there. He disagreed with the decision and criticized the NHL's management.
"Sometimes, social media and the media amplify things and reactions. They have to protect their investment (McDavid) ... that's what I understand." - N. Zadorov before the 4th game
He could certainly be fined again by the NHL for his comments. Zadorov is playing tough hockey for the Canucks and seems to have gotten into the heads of the Oilers.
