In the last few hours, an announcement confirmed the end of the season for another Montreal Canadiens forward, Christian Dvorak.

After missing the first month of the season, the centerman suffered a major pectoral tear and now needs surgery.
With only 11 forwards available for the last three games, many thought a call-up from Laval would be necessary to fill this void. Names like Emil Heineman, Sean Farrell, and Joshua Roy were mentioned as possible options.
Despite a more challenging period, the Quebecer is currently performing well with the Rocket. He has scored eight points, including three goals, in his last ten games. He has a total of 10 goals and 26 points in 30 games for his first season in the AHL.
However, to the surprise of many observers, Anthony Marcotte, the commentator for the Rocket's games, confirmed that the Canadiens will not be calling up a player from the Rocket for the time being.
«No call-up to report from Laval. Everyone is on the trip to Utica with games scheduled for Friday and Sunday. This suggests that the CH has the necessary attacking players.

Finally, one player did not make the trip. Riley Kidney is down with a virus. Joshua Roy has not practiced in recent days, but he is on the trip."

The Canadiens' next game is scheduled for Saturday against the formidable New York Rangers.
Unless there's an unexpected return from injury, we can expect Martin St-Louis to again use a lineup of 11 forwards and 7 defensemen.
