BREAKING: Major Update on Arber Xhekaj's Injury
As you may already know, Arber Xhekaj did not play the entire game against the Vegas Golden Knights two nights ago.
The 22-year-old defenseman suffered a heavy hit near the boards and returned to the locker room with an obvious shoulder injury.
Since number 72 was not present at yesterday's practice, many began to worry about the real extent of his injury, especially considering that it was a shoulder problem that ended his previous season.
In this context, a photo of Arber Xhekaj recently surfaced on social media, highlighting an important element about the severity of his injury.
"Good news: Arber Xhekaj was not wearing a sling on his arm when he got off the plane in Boston late this afternoon,"
As Truman mentions, the fact that the "Sheriff" does not have a sling or any major apparent constraint on the shoulder is a very positive sign.
For now, the chances of him being in uniform tonight are very low, but as the Canadiens have mentioned that his condition is being "re-evaluated on a daily basis," he could possibly return during the coming week.
