The Montreal Canadiens, along with several other NHL teams, are present at Ivan Demidov's Showcase in Florida organized by his agency.
A significant piece of information has been confirmed by his agent and NHL team representatives present to evaluate the talented Russian prospect.
Ivan Demidov indeed measures 6 feet 1 inch tall. While some categorized him as a small forward, it appears Demidov is much taller than anticipated.
Such details are often hard to come by with players based in Russia playing in the KHL. However, it's now clear that Demidov is not a small player, despite his wide skating stride on full ice.
"Confirmed by his agent: Ivan Demidov measures 6'1! 😱
Forget the narrative of him being a small player. Demidov has incredible talent and now we can't say he's small anymore.
Looking forward to seeing his weight on Thursday but either way, that's getting taken care of! #NHLDraft"

Here's what an NHL scout had to say about Ivan Demidov and his evaluation process heading into the late June draft:
"I'm glad I don't have to decide on taking him second, but he's good. You put him in the OHL and he destroys that league. It's not his fault he was stuck in the (Russian) juniors." - Anonymous NHL scout
