It's no secret. Since the Combine last week, Ivan Demidov's reputation seems to have somewhat declined, with some scouts and teams stating they would hesitate to draft him in the top 5.
Since then, it appears the forward has been sliding in mock drafts. Ivan Demidov could therefore fall in the first round of the annual draft at the end of the month, but by how much?
The point is interesting, and regardless of what may be said about Demidov's caliber and contractual situation in Russia, the gamble is worth it for the Montreal Canadiens.
