Following Tampa Bay Lightning's elimination in the first round, the announcement finally came for head coach Jon Cooper.

General manager Julien BriseBois has decided to extend his head coach until the end of the 2025-2026 season, adding two more years to his contract, as reported by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
