During the NHL combine, some teams have the habit of taking promising prospects out to dinner.

The goal is to see them from a more relaxed perspective than during the formal 20-minute interviews. This casual atmosphere allows for a better understanding of their personality.
It is interesting to note that Cayden Lindstrom was seen Tuesday evening in the company of Canadiens executives. According to journalist Kevin Dubé (JdeQ), Lindstrom reported that the exchanges were much warmer over dinner than during the interview.
The centerman aspires to become a player like Roope Hintz and seems to have everything to appeal to the Canadiens on the ice.
If the club is convinced by his personality and has no concerns about his medical record, Lindstrom could become an interesting target for the Canadiens.
Although dinner invitations are not always revealing, they can still provide indications of teams' intentions towards players.
