The Montreal Canadiens have two first-round picks in the upcoming draft. According to several reports, the 26th overall pick could very well be involved in a trade.

Sportsnet presents a highly probable scenario being discussed behind the scenes, according to various sources, regarding the Canadiens' second first-round choice.
As was the case last year, Kent Hughes might use this pick in a trade to acquire a coveted offensive player. This would be part of a "package," according to the advanced plans.
"If the Canadiens are unable to complete a trade to bring in an established top-6 player, I believe Kent Hughes will use their 26th overall pick along with other assets to acquire a second top-10 pick in the first round.

He could then select two young players who will be part of the team's core in the long term, and then turn to the free agent market to address immediate needs." - Eric Engels

Names like Trevor Zegras, Martin Necas, and Patrik Laine have been circulating for several weeks. We will see if anything materializes by Friday or during the draft proceedings.
