Nick Suzuki has had his best season yet and is a crucial player for the Canadiens. However, he still seems to be very underrated in the NHL.
Unsurprisingly, Aleksander Barkov of the Panthers won the Frank J. Selke Trophy for the best two-way forward in the NHL. It's well-deserved for the captain of last season's Stanley Cup finalists.
After the winner was announced, charts were shown illustrating the candidates and players who received votes for this award.
Nick Suzuki deserves to be in this category, and indeed his name appears in 13th place. That's very good and well-deserved.
However, considering the season Suzuki had, many fans and even journalists believe that the Canadiens' captain should have placed much higher in the rankings.
The leader of the Habs has proven his talent and versatility in the latter part of the season with statistics worthy of NHL stars.
It seems that the voters and even the league as a whole do not recognize Nick Suzuki at his true value. At least, not yet.
