Wow! This speaks volumes about the importance of Juraj Slafkovsky in his native country.

We tend to forget, but the 19-year-old is a real star in Slovakia, being the first player from this country to be selected first overall in an NHL draft.

It's safe to say that the millions of Slovak fans closely following his career were very pleased to see him score two magnificent goals last night. If the forward had managed to score most of his goals from the slot this season, he clearly demonstrated that he could also use his blistering shot to beat opposing goalies.
