Imminent trade for the Canadiens announced by Arpon Basu
As the 2024 draft in Las Vegas approaches, the Montreal Canadiens, who currently hold the 5th and 26th overall picks, are considering a trade involving the 26th pick.
According to journalist Arpon Basu, there is about a 90% chance that the Canadiens will not draft at the 26th position.
The Montreal management has shown a keen interest in Cole Eiserman, an exceptional hockey player who recently broke a record in the American development program.
They even invited him to dinner, which could indicate an intention to move up in the draft to select him.
If this materializes, Montreal could leave Las Vegas with two promising talents, Ivan Demidov and Cole Eiserman, thereby strengthening their offense.
Eiserman, 17 years old, has impressed with his remarkable performances, scoring 83 goals in 81 games last season.
