After the dismissal of head coach Sheldon Keefe by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Martin St-Louis is already climbing the ranks among the NHL's longest-tenured head coaches with their respective teams.

Guillaume Villemaire noted that St-Louis is now the sixth-longest-tenured coach in the league.
This news was confirmed by Arpon Basu of The Athletic, who pointed out that only five coaches have been in their positions longer than St-Louis, who has been with the team for just over two years.
The list of the NHL's longest-tenured head coaches was shared by CapFriendly, with St-Louis occupying the sixth position since his hiring on February 9, 2022.
"NHL Head Coaches with Longest Tenures (with hiring dates):

Jon Cooper - March 25, 2013
Mike Sullivan - December 12, 2015
Jared Bednar - August 25, 2016
Rod Brind'Amour - May 8, 2018
André Tourigny - July 1, 2021
Martin St-Louis - February 9, 2022
Bruce Cassidy - June 14, 2022
John Tortorella - June 17, 2022
Peter DeBoer - June 21, 2022
Paul Maurice - June 22, 2022

Sheldon Keefe was hired by Toronto on November 20, 2019."

Furthermore, it's worth noting that St-Louis has expressed his desire to remain with the Montreal Canadiens for as long as the team desires, a piece of news welcomed enthusiastically by the fans.
