Louis Domingue, a well-known goaltender among Quebec hockey fans, recently expressed his desire to play for the Montreal Canadiens. Domingue, currently with the Hartford Wolf Pack, indicated that he has repeatedly shown interest in joining the Canadiens but never received a response from the team's management.

"Louis Domingue didn't hesitate to send his messages this morning. He would have loved to have the chance to play for the Canadiens organization. He says he has expressed his interest several times in the past without a response. Laval could really use him." - Anthony Marcotte

Considering the struggles of Laval Rocket goaltenders Strauss Mann and Jakub Dobes this season, Domingue's experience and performance could be a significant boost for the team. Domingue's current season statistics are notably better than those of the Rocket's goalies:
- Strauss Mann: Record of 2-7-2 | Goals Against Average (GAA) of 3.36 | Save Percentage (SV%) of .888
- Jakub Dobes: Record of 3-5-3 | GAA of 4.34 | SV% of .871
- Louis Domingue: Record of 8-1-1 | GAA of 2.18 | SV% of .924
With 143 NHL games under his belt, Domingue has accumulated a record of 60 wins, 60 losses, and 10 overtime losses, maintaining a GAA of 3.04 and a respectable SV% of .905. His experience and success could potentially help the Rocket rebound and provide valuable mentorship to rookie goalie Jakub Dobes.
Given these factors, Canadiens GM Kent Hughes might consider the possibility of acquiring Domingue. Such a trade could likely be completed easily and at a minimal cost.
